I actually forgot about this article yesterday

So i wrote this article about the group back in February, but i forgot about it until it was mentioned at a meeting yesterday, I’m posting two different PDFs, just the PDF of the article i wrote and this one has the entire newsletter. I’ve also posted a link to the archive page with all of the newsletter on the Newsletter page.

Unhappy Meals

By Michael Pollan

The New York Times Magazine, January 28, 2007

Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

That, more or less, is the short answer to the supposedly incredibly complicated and confusing question of what we humans should eat in order to be maximally healthy. I hate to give away the game right here at the beginning of a long essay, and I confess that I’m tempted to complicate matters in the interest of keeping things going for a few thousand more words… (more here)

May 11th is Salvador Dali’s 107th birthday

Hello guys!

I just finished the putting together the agenda and talking points for tomorrows meeting, you can download the May 11th Young adults with TBI Support Group meeting agenda and the document for my talk: nutrition the basics, before coming if you want, if not I’ll have copies for you there.

Just a reminder Our meeting tomorrow is being sponsored by Wholefoods!  they have donated refreshments for the next three meetings and that’s why we’re talking about nutrition!

We have a lot of stuff to do tomorrow and a limited amount of time so I’d like to ask you all to try and arrive on time if possible, if you’re running late no worries we’d rather have you there late than not at all, so just do your best to enter quietly if you do come a little bit late.

Nutrition meeting in effect

Hello folks -

If you click on the image above it will take you to the amazon.com page for this book, I try not to be too commercial but you can get a copy of the book for like $3 or something (+Shipping). And this is the easiest most straight forward book that i know of about nutrition. Why not own it? I’ll bring my copy to the meeting on Wednesday so you can all thumb through it… very short.
Also on the topic of nutrition let me remind you all that we have a new sponsor for the group… Whole Foods, which is exactly what we’ll talk about at our next meeting, Whole foods…. whole foods nutrition that is, not the store. sorry i couldn’t pass up the segue.

I’ll post the thing that i wrote after i spell check it. so check back here before the meeting!
