Coping And Stress in TBI: The C.A.S.T Study

We want to better understand how the stress you experience every day and the ways in which you deal with that stress influences how you feel over long periods of time.

Benefits:

You will receive a $5 gift card to Starbucks for one time participation and the benefit of help others in similar situations.

Who is being asked to participate:

Approximately 100 individuals in the Seattle and surrounding community whom have had a head injury (e.g., stroke, motor vehicle accident, etc.) are being offered an opportunity to participate.

What are you asked to do:

You are being asked to fill out a questionnaire that will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. After it is completed you will receive a gift card.

When:

On a predetermined day, Amanda Herges, M.A. or (an)other student researcher(s) will show up after group and offer the opportunity on that day. If you cannot make it on that day she can come another time.

Where:

The questionnaires will be completed at the location where you participate in your group.

Your responses to the questionnaire are kept confidential and your name will not be on them. Your participation in this study is optional. You are free to decline the opportunity without fear that not participating will effect your participation in your support group or your relationship with the Brain Injury Association of Washington.

If group members are interested please have the facilitator email Amanda to schedule a day for her to stop in after the group meetings.

If you want to participate send me an email:  silast@uw.edu
